BOOK SUMMARY
Do you know how unicorns got their horns?
It all began once upon a time in a magical forest, when a little girl called Xulia discovered tiny horses learning how to fly in her garden. She noticed that one of the horses was sad and couldn’t fly at all.
So Xulia came up with a fun and somewhat eccentric way to help her new friend to learn how to fly.
And, of course… do you want to know what happened next?
Beatrice Blue Spanish of origin and resident in Montreal (Quebec), Beatrice is a visual development artist, and freelance illustrator. She works in the animation industry as well as in the world of children’s illustration.
She currently lives in Canada with her partner Dani and their dog Jungle, where they are always surrounded by great adventures and lots of snow. ONCE UPON A UNICORN HORN is her first illustrated work for children.
Announced as the first in a series of illustrated albums about how certain magical creatures got their special features, this story will be immediately devoured by the countless little lovers of unicorns.
This story by Beatrice Blue is fantastical, fun and sweet but not sickly, thanks in part to her humour which is present throughout.
Her illustrations are very distinctive and effortlessly convey the story, and the values which live behind this narrative, such as love for animals, unconditional friendship, helping the needy and cooperation.
